The 3-stooled granite counter on the stove topped island is ideal for ‘backseat’ cooks who want to contribute to the ‘soup for your souls’.  Fully equipped and ready to go, the ‘heart’ of this gourmet’s delight is the stainless steel Garland professional 4-burner gas range/oven with lighted hood centered on the island, in the Great Room.  A Hotpoint side by side refrigerator/freezer, GE profile Advantium microwave/convection oven combo, coffee maker and bean grinder, and heavy duty Asko dishwasher, complete the collaboration of kitchen appliances with abundant maple cabinets for plenty of storage.

The lovely dining area with table and chairs is for 6-8, adjacent to the kitchen in the Great Room, is warmed by earthy, ceramic tile floors, custom lighting, Tuscan tones, and double full glass French doors with pleated shades opening to the very special enclosed back patio entertainment area with a Duchane stainless steel grill for your BBQ’ing pleasure.  This wonderful umbrella-shaded outdoor space has seating and tables for 8, a ‘lion king’ fountain with grape-vined lattice behind, and is completely fenced with a gate leading to the lovely tree-shaded side patio and raised deck with spa on the hillside among the seasonally fruited grape vines.

But wait!  You will also delight in the abundant indoor amenities of Canyon Road Retreat .  A particularly outstanding feature offered by this floorplan is bedroom privacy; the master suite is on one side of the house and the two guest bedrooms and shared bath are at the opposite side, separated by the beautiful Great Room and hallways.  Graced with a lovely queen bed, luscious bedding and linens, a gas logged stove, wall to wall carpeting, a very efficient ceiling fan, 5-drawer dresser with a Sony 19” TV, and windows with pleated shades and beautiful views, the master suite is a private retreat unto itself. 

The spa-inspired ensuite bath features a dual-sinked vanity, jetted soaking tub, free standing shower with a large glass bricked window, and a private water closet.  At the other end of the house, the first guest bedroom is also well appointed with a comfy queen bed with all the necessary accoutrements, a ceiling fan/light combo, windows with blinds, and carpeting.  The second guest bedroom has a full bed, ceiling fan/light combo, windows with blinds, carpeting and a chest with a small Toshiba TV/DVD combo.  When also using the living room’s queen sleeper sofa, this lovely retreat sleeps up to 8 guests. 

The second bath is shared, just down the hall, with nicely tiled details, bathtub, free standing shower, and a single sink vanity.  Additional amenities include an indoor laundry with maple cabinets, a stainless steel sink, iron and board, and newer large capacity washer and dryer.  In addition to Mother Nature’s ‘air conditioning’, the cool evenings, nights, mornings, and gentle breezes of excellent air movement inside the house, are created by the many windows, slider, and ceiling fans; also, a new high efficiency heating and air conditioning system is available for more cooling during an occasional hot spell of the warmer summer season and a little more warmth when the weather is cool.
